Pottsboro teen Deonte Sanseverino’s video of the Pottsboro Library-sponsored Lego races https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-36D3FPsKo has won a “Maker Place” award from the American Library Association’s Young Adult Library Services Association.  According to the Association, “making emphasizes learning-through-doing in a social environment. Additionally, making often emphasizes new and unique applications of technologies and encourages innovation and invention. Making is often used as a means of inspiring young people to pursue STEM-focused careers”.

The Texoma Kite Festival was an Outside the Box event made possible by Redbox.  We are honored to receive this grant to  bring our community together for a free, fun event.  Thanks, Redbox!

Thanks to all the individuals, organizations and businesses who worked together to make it a great day.
