  • I was honored when approached to join the Board of Trustees because of the impact our library had on our community. There are so many facets of the library that go unnoticed, and I wanted to help bring attention to the many benefits that our library offers our community.  I also saw an opportunity to expand the library’s support base to help engage participation and funding from my peer group.

  • I chose to participate as an Operating Board Trustee because I love this library and how it has served our community since 1985. As a Trustee I have been able to provide input and vote upon library policy. During my tenure as Board Chair, and with the assistance of board trustees, the Operating Board Bylaws were amended to mirror the City of Pottsboro’s ordinances more closely. As a participant in both Operating and Friends of the Library boards it has been a pleasure to use grant writing skills to seek additional funds to meet library needs.

  • I have always loved libraries and utilized the library resources everywhere I have lived. With my family, I am a frequent patron of the Pottsboro Library and utilize many of the services it offers as well as those offered from other Grayson County libraries. I love our Pottsboro Library and as a board member want to help the library to continue to serve Pottsboro Area patrons. My analytical thought process and desire for data to reach decisions adds diversity to our library leadership.
